This article lists all the methods to uninstall an iZotope product.
The most convenient way to uninstall your iZotope software is to use the Product Portal application.
Simply hover your mouse over the product you want to uninstall and click the trash icon:
Alternatively, you can also uninstall your software manually by using the steps below:
Windows 11
- Close all applications.
- Right-click the Windows Start Button and select Installed Apps / Apps & Features.
- Find the product you want to remove, click the 3 dots on the right side of the entry and select Uninstall.
Windows 10
- Close all applications.
- Right-click the Windows Start Button and select Apps & features.
- Click the product you want to remove and select Uninstall.
macOS
- Close all applications.
- Open Finder and go to:
MacHD > Library > Application Support > iZotope > *Product* - Start the uninstaller.
MacOS Catalina has increased the security of the ~/Documents location where presets are stored. This may cause the uninstallation process not to be completed. Please delete iZotope product resources manually from these locations:
Plug-ins:
- AAX: Mac HD > Library > Application Support > Avid > Audio > Plug-ins
- RTAS: Mac HD > Library > Application Support > Digidesign > Audio > Plug-ins
- AU: Mac HD > Library > Audio > Plug-ins > Components
- VST: Mac HD > Library > Audio > Plug-ins > VST
- VST 3: Mac HD > Library > Audio > Plug-ins > VST 3
Program Data:
- Mac HD > Applications (if applicable; not all products offer standalone app)
- Mac HD > Library > Application Support > iZotope
Documents / Presets:
- Mac HD > Users > [Username] > Documents > iZotope > *Product Name*
Some older products like iDrum, Nectar Elements, etc. don't offer an uninstaller. If you can't find the uninstaller, please follow these steps:
- Run the product installer. If you need to re-download the installer, log in to your iZotope account and open the Legacy Products page.
- On the 'Installation Type' screen, choose 'Uninstall' and proceed.
macOS
- Close all applications.
- Open Finder and go to:
MacHD > Library > Application Support > Exponential Audio > *Product* - Start the uninstaller.
If you can't find the uninstaller, please download and install the latest version of your product from Product Downloads. After the installation, the uninstaller will be available in the above location.
Windows 11
- Close all applications.
- Right-click the Windows Start Button and select Installed Apps / Apps & Features.
- Find the product you want to remove, click the 3 dots on the right side of the entry and select Uninstall.
Windows 10
- Close all applications.
- Right-click the Windows Start Button and select Apps & features.
- Click the product you want to remove and select Uninstall.
