macOS Catalina for iZotope products

Updating to macOS Catalina has brought some changes in security and permissions when installing products like iZotope offers. As a result of this, our former product line is not compatible with them. However, we have made alternate installers for many of them. Please see below.

All currently sold products on our website have been updated for macOS Catalina. These can be downloaded via our Product Portal, or directly from your account.

 

Compatible products include:

Ozone 9, Neutron 3, Nectar 3, RX 7, RX 8, RX 9, RX Loudness Control, Dialogue Match, Neoverb, Insight 2, Trash 2, BreakTweaker, Stutter Edit, Iris 2, VocalSynth 2, Relay, Visual Mixer, Vocal Doubler, Ozone Imager 2, Mobius Filter, DDLY, Tonal Balance Control 2, and All Exponential Audio reverb products

Overwrite Resources error

This error usually appears when an incompatible product is installed on macOS Catalina. Be sure you're trying to install a product from the list of supported products above, or via the alternate installers available below.
This may also be indicative of a permissions issue on your computer, we recommend re-attempting installation from the Admin account of your computer and then once more in Safe Mode if the issue persists.


Error Writing to Documents

This error usually means that the installer is having trouble overriding content in the location below:
MacHD/Users/[USERNAME]/Documents/iZotope/[Product]
We recommend deleting the folder of the product you're having trouble with, then try installing once more. You can head here for more steps.


Process Exited Abnormally

This error usually represents an incompatible product, or a permissions issue on your computer. First, be sure you're downloading the latest version of the product available (be sure it's in the list above). we recommend re-attempting installation from the Admin account of your computer and then once more in Safe Mode if the issue persists.


Bad CPU Type

This error usually appears when an incompatible product is installed on macOS Catalina. Be sure you're trying to install a product from the list of supported products above, or via the alternate installers available below.
This may also be indicative of a permissions issue on your computer, we recommend re-attempting installation from the Admin account of your computer and then once more in Safe Mode if the issue persists.

Use the download buttons below to download your version of Ozone 8. To run it, first double click on the .zip file to unzip it. Then right-click on the .pkg file and select Open. After doing so you'll get a pop up which should also allow you to press Open on.
