What inputs are on the Spire Studio?
In addition to the built-in microphone, Spire Studio has two XLR/TS combo jacks and noiseless preamps for pristine clarity. Connecting a microphone or instrument to Input 1 will disable the internal microphone, but connecting to Input 2 will not. Among the three inputs (Internal Microphone, Input 1 and Input 2) you may have a maximum of two inputs active at any given time.

What is Phantom Power?
On the rear of our Spire Studio, you will see a button labeled Phantom Power. Phantom Power refers to DC voltage required to operate certain microphones. Enabling this button will provide 48 volts of electricity to power your condenser microphone. Be sure to disable phantom power before connecting or disconnecting your microphone! Connecting or disconnecting a microphone with phantom power enabled can cause damage to the microphone.
If you use a dynamic microphone, there is no need to enable Phantom Power!
How does the Spire App connect to Spire Studio? Is it a Bluetooth connection?
Rather than using Bluetooth, Spire Studio uses its own WiFi network (one that does not rely on any existing modem, router or access point) to communicate with the Spire App. Spire Studio broadcasts this “ad hoc” network to connect directly to your phone!
Click here for more information about the Spire Studio WiFi network.
How long does the battery last?

How do I delete a project?
When looking at your Project List, swipe the project you wish to delete to the LEFT to reveal a DELETE button. Press DELETE to remove the project.
How does Spire Studio manage its storage in coordination with the Spire app?
When recording using Spire Studio, your audio is recorded to the Spire Studio unit itself. However, your recordings will sync to your phone almost instantly. Syncing occurs periodically throughout the recording process.
Each time you connect your phone to a Spire Studio, your Project List will update to include all recordings stored on that Spire Studio. If you see "Spire Studio" under a project, this indicates that the recording is located only on your Spire Studio. Opening the project will download it to your phone!
Click here for more information about Project Storage Management.
Can I still record if my phone is disconnected from Spire Studio?
Yes! If your phone is unavailable, you can record up to 6 hours worth of audio directly to Spire Studio. Your project(s) will sync to the Spire app the next time your phone is connected to Spire Studio! Likewise, if the connection between your phone and Spire Studio is lost while a recording is in progress, the recording will continue uninterrupted!
