If you're unable to find your iZotope products within Cubase or Nuendo, you can try the steps below to locate them:
1. Rescan your plug-ins:
- Click the Studio menu.
- Select Plug-in Manager.
- Click the gear icon in the bottom left corner.
- Click the "+" icon in the top right corner of the VST Plug-In Path Settings menu.
- Navigate to your VST 3 folder* and click Open.
- Click the Re-scan All icon in the top right corner of the VST Plug-In Path Settings menu.
*By default, plug-ins are located here:
Mac: (VST 3): Mac HD > Library > Audio > Plug-ins > VST 3
PC: (64-bit VST 3) C: > Program Files > Common Files > VST3 > iZotope
2. Check your plug-ins folder:
If you're using a custom plug-in folder, be sure you've run the iZotope installer in Custom Install mode with that folder selected. You can read more about that on this article.
The default locations for iZotope products are:
Mac
— VST: Mac HD > Library > Audio > Plug-ins > VST
— VST 3: Mac HD > Library > Audio > Plug-ins > VST 3
PC:
— 64-bit VST: C: > Program Files > Steinberg > VstPlugins
— 64-bit VST 3: C: > Program Files > Common Files > VST3 > iZotope
Exponential Audio products will install to this location on PC:
— 64-bit VST: C: > Program Files > VstPlugins
— 64-bit VST 3: C: > Program Files > Common Files > VST3
3. Check compatibility:
Cubase 10+ will blacklist VST2 and 32-bit versions of plug-ins, be sure to use the 64-bit VST3 for best results.
Cubase 10.5 isn't supported on macoS 10.13 and below or Windows 7, this may result in issues when using iZotope plug-ins.
